Soap Box, Ballot Box and Ammo Box – 3 Boxes of BS

Bob S., a self-described “average man” and the BS in the title of his blogsite, lives in Texas. He started 3 Boxes of BS to blog about his views on society, politics and our rights. The WON discovered Bob in one of our recent Google Alerts when he posted his opinion about a Dallas based shooting club for women called DIVA Women Outdoors Worldwide. In his article, Bob reviewed an article in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram about the club and added his comments to key points. Our readers know that when it comes to women and firearms, we are always happy to find a man who supports us and we’re even happier to find one who will voice his support publicly. Thanks, Bob!

In case you’re wondering, Bob got the name of his blog from the famous author, Unknown:

“We have four boxes with which to defend our freedom: the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.”

    Ed,

Thanks for the update. When I originally searched for information on the quote, I could find nothing definitive.

I’ll make a note to update my “About” page with this information.

    Paige,

Thanks for highlighting my blog, it is greatly appreciated.

Regarding this quote: “We have four boxes with which to defend our freedom: the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.”
Your blog said: “In case you’re wondering, Bob got the name of his blog from the famous author, Unknown:”

The author’s famous, but unknown? 🙂
Well, maybe so, but I have a Wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Howdershelt
    and a Wikiquote page
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_boxes
and for future references, if any, the precise quote is:
“There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo. Please use in that order.”-Ed Howdershelt
