Win a Girls with Guns’ trucker hat

Our shooting friends from California and proprietors of Girls with Guns Clothing, Jen and Norissa, are offering a Girls with Guns’ brown trucker hat with its special logo to two winners. To win, answer this question:

Where, other than the range or the woods, would you wear this hat to make a lifestyle statement that you promote the tradition of shooting in this country?

And, guys, you could wear this hat, too. And, don’t forget to check out the other cool apparel and accessories – including the Sara Palin hat – as seen in her TV show. Yes, Sara’s wearing the Girls with Guns bucket hat! Found only at Girls with Guns Clothing.

Deadline is midnight, Friday, Sept. 23. Winner will be chosen by Random.org.  Winners will have the opportunity to be featured at Women’s Outdoor News in photos, wearing the hat, of course!

We’re looking forward to reading where you would wear a Girls with Guns hat.

I have a pink & brown shooting vest. This hat would match and I would wear it everytime I wear this vest to shoot clays. Our pink is showing our support for breast cancer patients. I average 5-6 days a week shooting clays with lots of women (sometimes 15+) here at Brays Island Plantatoin, Our course is a 15 stand Holland & Holland. After shooting all the ladies go to lunch here and I always wear my hat. The items I have from GwG have been the envy of all our ladies and some of them have placed orders for themselves.

I would wear this hat to work. I’m a bartender at a AWESOME little bar that is always full of great hunters, both men & women. Ill show them that I can shoot like a girl <3

  • Casey Marinkovich says: September 23, 2011 at 4:27 pm

I would wear the GWG hat not only in the woods hunting and on the lake fishing, but also at school and around town. It think that it’s empowering for women to meet and interact with other women who like the outdoors.

    Go Nor Cal!

  • Stephanie K says: September 23, 2011 at 7:54 am

I really enjoy the Girls With Guns line because shooting sports isn’t just for the boys. I will enjoy wearing the hat at pistol league, trap, and at our annual family friend trap shoot. Our annual shoot is a day to enjoy friends and family, to share tradition, techniques, and pass the love of shooting sports to the next generation. Its a chance to try out different firearms and really get a feel for what a person likes and is coomfortable with.
I completed conceal carry classes and will enjoy wearing this hat while I practice my right, and of course when I go places like school to pick up the kids (where firearms aren’t allowed) I will abide by the rule but voice my opinion proudly wearing this hat.

  • Teri Lancaster says: September 23, 2011 at 7:20 am

I’d just wear it. 🙂 and I would look GOOD doing it! 🙂

  • Debby Silva says: September 23, 2011 at 7:16 am

I love the look of the hats! LOVE THEM!!! I have a special hat one for bow hunting, one for muzzle loading, one for rifle hunting and of course one for turkey hunting…. lol! I know, I am one of those that believe when you have a successful hunt, the hat stays with that season…. the only hat I don’t have is one to wear anywhere and everywhere… so for me, this would be perfect!

  • stephanie b... says: September 23, 2011 at 7:14 am

I’m just a hat kinda girl… I’d where it everywhere and help promote the GWG mission.

I wear my GWG hat on the boat while I am fishing the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Keys waters! The hat goes perfectly with reeling in a 170 lb Tarpon or bagging your limit in spiny lobster!

  • shayna b says: September 22, 2011 at 3:24 am

I think a better question is where WOULDNT i wear this hat

  • Amber says: September 22, 2011 at 1:47 am

I would wear it EVERYWHERE! Living down in Southern California I always get strange looks from people when wearing any bit of camo, let alone a GWG hat…I’m sure it would turn some heads!

  • Sarah says: September 22, 2011 at 12:12 am

I’d wear it to all the advanced hunter’s ed classes I attend!

  • Missy says: September 21, 2011 at 8:32 pm

  • Paul morin says: September 21, 2011 at 6:56 pm

I would give it to my daughter, she is 5 but she can do anything.

  • Tom S. says: September 21, 2011 at 12:21 pm

I would gift this hat to a woman who has recently returned from her second Contaigon Zombie Shoot. This year she not only took her Dad, but her cousin as well. Spreading the fun and having a shared experience. Eeryone knows that an experience is best when shared. I think she is deserving.

  • Alishia says: September 20, 2011 at 11:41 pm

I wear my GWG every where! GWG is about Women, Strength, Independence, Friendships, Good Style and Keeping it Real.

    Everywhere in San Francisco!

  • Amber says: September 19, 2011 at 5:36 pm

I would wear it everywhere! It would be my new accessory. I am an instructor of NRA Basic Pistol Safety and Conceal Carry Permits and do women classes only. I work at Nice Shot-Redding Indoor Shooting Range in Northern Ca. I am always talking with women about permits and safety issues at my sons soccer, or school, or events. I love my job and take it very seriously, and would love to promote your product to get more women to shoot any day.

  • Bethany Surber says: September 18, 2011 at 6:29 pm

I would wear it to the University I attend in Seattle because… 1. Even though there are no laws against owning guns, there is nowhere to shoot in Washington besides indoor ranges, which is only good for so much. 2. I am proud of being a gun-toting woman from the BFE lands of Northern Nevada. 3. It is always fun to ruffle feathers, especially in schools in predominantly ‘Left’ cities.

  • mary ann alvarez says: September 18, 2011 at 5:22 pm

There is quite a few places, perhaps right now watching the cowboys play in a miami bar, or at my boyfriends softball game to put it out there, and at the beach to show the prissy girls that u can be tough too. Although my all time favorite with my future father-in-law, at the gun range talking about this hunting season. Or just out and about.

  • Julie says: September 18, 2011 at 4:04 pm

Being from Texas, I would wear it under the Friday night lights at my son’s varsity football game. It would help keep the glare out of my eyes and show off one of my favorite hobbies.

  • Gretchen Steele says: September 16, 2011 at 10:53 am

I would certainly wear it every time I visited the World Recreational and Shooting Complex here in southern Illinois, especially at the myriad of shooting events held there. – and also when I visit our good friends and J and J Guns and Knives. They KNOW girls with guns make good friends!

  • Anna Herrmann says: September 16, 2011 at 6:05 am

I assist with teaching women outdoor skills and beginning shooting at Women In The Outdoors, a NWTF program, and also Women On Target, an NRA program;I would proudly wear your hat to these events and put a little extra excitement in the classes!

  • Nicolle Griffin says: September 15, 2011 at 10:40 pm

My GWG (white with pink and black and silver) hat is usually on my head every day UNDER my hard hat on the construction site….then follows me into the office to hide the hardhat hair so the guys can see it and I tell them how this hat makes a great gift for their wives…..then into my car with the sunroof open and windows down as I speed on the interstate all over southern California and Arizona….on my way to all my jobs and to pick up my son from school…..then take him over to the BMX track……and then to the commissary to buy groceries for dinner…….in other words it goes basically everywhere with me except…..church!

  • Jolene Del Zompo says: September 15, 2011 at 10:17 pm

I would wear my Girls with Guns hat to work. I sell guns for a living, and people are always surprised Im as knowledgeable and passionite about my firearms as I am. And of course, Id still being wearing it when I get to go play in the mud and woods.

  • Stacey Hoey says: September 15, 2011 at 8:14 pm

I would wear to anywhere that I knew ladies would be, shopping, into gym, the local clubs I belong to,my kids football games, baseball games, grocery stores, basically anywhere I knew that other women would be at. Hunting and shooting have changed my life, I feel like I have opened a whole new world. I am able to have something in common with my husband, my boys, my brother, my dad and anyone who enjoys hunting or shooting, WHAT a great thing to have in common with people, even if they don’t hunt or shoot they always know someone who does. Besdies that when I say I hunt or shoot, seems like I get looked at with a bit more respect!

  • Amanda says: September 15, 2011 at 7:49 pm

I would wear the hat when I’m at horse shows and around the barn..

  • Mrs. Hill says: September 15, 2011 at 7:13 pm

I do wear one almost everyday, its getting pretty old, I wear them to rodeos, barrel races, roping events and most of all I where it in my jeep when I have the top off. I tell everybody that sees it, local Red Bluffers go on there website lots of great stuff.

  • Babs Fries says: September 15, 2011 at 7:01 pm

I would wear it everywhere in my big red duelly truck and let everyone know that I believe in our constitional right to keep and bear arms. I love the logo and the hint of pink that I’m feminine yet not afraid to protect myself. The GWG line of clothing and gear is extraordinary! Good job ladies– I’ll keep buying your stuff and showing it off!

  • Stephanie Freitas says: September 15, 2011 at 6:57 pm

With all the kids activities I hardly ever get to do my hair completley, so this hat would get worn wherever I took my bad hair.

  • Amy Dykstra says: September 15, 2011 at 6:37 pm

I live in Sacramento (for now!), and I would wear it out and about; to college classes, to the grocery store, to my dog’s agility class, to walk my dog. I’m passionate about my way of life and love to show it off!

  • Al Quackenbush says: September 15, 2011 at 5:22 pm

I would give this to my wife to wear so that she could help share my passion for the outdoors. She can handle a firearm well and she loves hats. Win-win! I am sure she’d wear it out to many country concerts!

  • kim says: September 15, 2011 at 3:53 pm

1st and foremost, I’d have a picture of me wearing it on my blog page so everyone from the Outdoor Blogger Network who visits my blog will see it! Plus, I geocache a lot and take pictures so I’d have photos of me wearing it in lots of different places. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • Dianne Hutchison says: September 15, 2011 at 2:04 pm

I would wear my “Girls with guns” hat everywhere. I think that it is important to let people know that we women are now protecting ourselves and that we also are enjoying the outdoors with out husbands, bonding in the hunting season. I continually feel as though there should be more hunting accessories and clothing for the female hunters of today. I love the pink on the hat to keep us also feeling girly during our the hunting season.

  • A Young says: September 15, 2011 at 1:53 pm

    Anywhere and everywhere!

  • Jean West says: September 15, 2011 at 1:37 pm

I am all about promoting everything outdoors and getting our youth out of house and exploring and learning the traditions that are slowly being lost. As a gun owner myself I would be proud to promote my passion and wear my hat everywhere!

  • Becky Brown says: September 15, 2011 at 1:10 pm

I would wear this hat anywhere and everywhere. Camping, kayaking, grocery shopping, even picking the kids up from school. Promoting women enjoying shooting sports is important to me and I would hope the hat would foster questions so I can share the passion of shooting with someone new.

  • Stacy Konway says: September 15, 2011 at 11:49 am

I would wear my “girls with guns” anywhere I wear a hat. People look at me and are amazed that I carry a gun, I think the hat would be a great opportunity to promote the lifestyle of women in the outdoors.
