WOWO + The WON = Tons of Fun

The Women of the Wild Outdoors (WOWO) TV show is  gaining ground in outdoor television – having an impact, inspiring women to go outside and to share their stories. Along with the popular show (sponsored by Scheels and others that see the vision on the Pursuit Channel), the producers, Lisa and Ed Retterath, decided to combine aggressive social networking – online and in parking lots across this country.

The bus!

A Facebook page touts more than 7,000 fans. Tweets appear regularly to thousands of tweeters and a rock star bus might be pulling into a parking lot of a Scheels near you.

The Reterraths’ mission is energetic: “To promote, influence & encourage all participation in outdoor sports & activities via our television show, Women of the Wild Outdoors™. We strive for quality entertainment, educational elements & inspiring experiences. It’s a feminine invasion of the great outdoors and women have a fresh, animated & passionate perspective that we’ll showcase & highlight.”

Producer Ed Retterath peels away the protective covering to unveil The WON on the WOWO bus!

The Women’s Outdoor News is delighted to partner with WOWO to help spread the world about the enthusiasm for women in outdoor sports and traditions that is spreading rapidly across this great country. We will be promoting their show here and highlighting some of their guest stars. They have placed our new, colorful and rather hip – if  we do say so ourselves – logo  on their bus.”
