California Becoming an Outdoors-Woman to host guided duck hunt in January

Can you picture yourself in a duck blind at the break of dawn when it seems like the whole world is coming to life, experiencing the sights and sounds of nature, waiting to hear those wingbeats heading toward the decoys? If you’ve ever wanted to learn to duck hunt or are just beginning and want some excellent instruction, this is the class for you. Wilderness Unlimited has partnered with BOW, California to offer a guided duck hunt for ten very lucky women. You and another hunter will hunt with a professional guide and dog. Shotguns, ammunition, waders and boots will be provided.

We will meet at the club house between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. for dinner Friday evening, January 13th, sleep at the RV Park in one of the trailers, and rise at o-dark-thirty to get out to the blinds. A continental breakfast will be provided before you leave for the blind. You will need your hunting license with both the state and federal duck stamps. Sign up on line at http://www.bowca.org or call Susan Herrgesell at 530-347-0227 for more information.

Limit: 10 hunters

Cost: $200
