Fifth Annual NWTF Women in the Outdoors Event at Presnell Plantation in Indiana

Registration includes: Your choice of four Women in the Outdoors sessions and use of all equipment; One-year membership to NWTF – Women in the Outdoors; One-year subscription to Turkey Country Magazine; Lunch the day of the event.

Archery – Get tips on the type of bow you should be purchasing and correct arrows for your fit. Hands-on training on how to shoot.

Duct Tap Bags – Get creative with duct tape! Create your own stylish and colorful duct tape bag.

Fly-fishing / fly-tying – Learn the techniques and tricks to tie your own flies and the beauty of fly-casting with the fly you created from an experienced fly-fisherman.

Hiking / Backpacking Without Roughing It – Learn the basics of hiking and backpacking, how to leave no trace and wilderness survival before you go out into the woods. This class will count for 2 of your 4 sessions.

How to use a Handgun – Basic handgun skills will be presented in an easy-going environment. Learn how to hold, aim and shoot handguns safely.

Kayaking – Get instruction on the right fit and basic techniques with hands on training of handling a kayak in the water.

Outdoor Cooking – This session covers methods, equipment and recipes for Dutch oven/skillet cooking and how to build a fire to cook on.

Outdoor Photography – A hands-on workshop offering basic guidelines to improve your outdoor photos. Bring your own camera (must have the option of using manual settings). This is not a class on how to use your camera.

Personal Protection – Never be caught in a bad situation by yourself again. Learn basic self-defense and safety techniques with a certified black belt instructor.

Sporting Clays – Have fun with this popular shotgun sport. Get pointers and techniques on how to shoot clay targets. You will get hands-on training at a state of the art clay target range.

Turkey Calling – Learn the differences in calls, techniques for calling and try your hand at calling in a Tom.
