Comp-Tac’s Randi Rogers ends perfect IDPA season with Ladies National Championship Title

HOUSTON, Texas – Team Comp-Tac’s Randi Rogers wrapped up a perfect IDPA shooting season, including sweeping all three major championships, by taking the Ladies National Championship title this past weekend at the International Defensive Pistol Association’s 2012 National Championships in Oxford, N.C.

Finishing ninth out of 28 Masters, and tenth among all 114 competitors in the Stock Service Pistol (SSP) division, Rogers posted a record finish taking the Ladies title with a final time of 301.99 seconds. This is the fourth time that Rogers has won the IDPA Ladies National Championship and, with prior wins at the Smith & Wesson Indoor Nationals, the European Cup, the Carolina Cup and the Texas State Championship, marks her fifth overall Ladies IDPA title this season.

“IDPA has grown so much in the last couple of years, it has become an extremely exciting sport to compete in. This season was great for me and finishing up with a win at the IDPA Nationals was a wonderful way to end it. But, I am already looking forward to next season and returning to IDPA competition,” said Rogers.

In addition to being represented at the IDPA National Championships by its shooting team, Comp-Tac Victory Gear also supported the match as a gold level sponsor. As one of the most popular holster brands used by today’s competitive shooters, Comp-Tac is committed to growing the shooting sports and has been extremely active in sponsoring shooting competitions. This is the fifth year that Comp-Tac has been a major sponsor at the IDPA Nationals and the 20th IDPA match that Comp-Tac has supported in 2012 alone.

“When Comp-Tac first started making holsters, IDPA was a huge testing ground for the company. I would compete with our product, make it for my fellow shooters and get their feedback to make continuous improvements. We strive to support all shooters and will stay active in the competition market as we continue to grow. We couldn’t be happier to have Randi join our team this year and we look forward to her continued shooting success,” said Comp-Tac Owner and President Gregg Garrett.

Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Rogers will compete in the USPSA Limited/ Production/ Revolver and Open/ Limited 10 Nationals, October 12-21 in Las Vegas, Nev.
