Perea writes gear reviews and features for Women’s Outdoor News.”Reeling in the Deep,” an article featuring angler Maryellen Mara-Christian and her adventure to land a 1,025-pound alligator, followed later by harvesting a 650-pound alligator, received second place in “Electronic Media” and third place in “Conference Site Story Telling.”
