With a final score of 1574.6862 Rogers took third Lady in the Standard Division, marking the second time Rogers has made a podium appearance at an IPSC World Shoot. At her first world shoot in 2011, Rogers captured gold finishing as the Ladies Standard Division Individual Champion.

“I was honored to make the podium in both World Championship events that I have attended. With women from over 80 different countries competing for the top spot the field of women shooting for the title was one of the strongest on record,” explained Rogers. “While I started strong, it was a simple mental error on the third day of competition that caused me to fall behind. By staying focused on the match ahead I finished the last two days of competition with strong performances on the remaining 12 stages. Unfortunately, I was not able to overcome the deficit I created for myself, but I am pleased to have been able to bring home the bronze medal for myself and Gold for Team USA.”

The IPSC World Championships is held every three years and involves a rigorous qualification program. Through the qualification process Rogers earned a spot on the USA Ladies Standard Team where her third place individual finish helped the team bring him the gold medal.

“Representing the USA at the World Shoot has been one of the proudest moments of my shooting career,” commented Rogers. “To work with a team of talented ladies to represent my country brings into focus how lucky I am to live where I can compete freely to prepare for these competitions. It is truly a blessing.”

In addition to being represented in the competition by Team Comp-Tac members Randi Rogers and Gordon Carrell, Comp-Tac Victory Gear also supported the IPSC World Shoot as a gold level sponsor. As a U.S.-based company manufacturing products in the Houston area, supporting the IPSC World Shoot was an important business decision.

“Supporting the IPSC World Shoot here in the USA was an excellent way to expand our brand to key international customers. To observe and participate in the competition and gather feedback from both national and international shooters, has given Comp-Tac valuable product insight as we move forward developing new products for 2015,” explained Gordon Carrell, Team Comp-Tac member and General Manager.

Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Rogers and Carrell will compete in the Smith & Wesson IDPA Back Up Gun Nationals in Springfield, Mass., November 6th-8th.
