Jen O’Hara and Norissa Harman, the co-founders of the iconic outdoor fashion and technical hunting apparel brand Girls with Guns® Clothing, are excited to announce that they have partnered with Veil® Camo to introduce their newest pattern, Veil Alpine Collection, in their Fall 2017 collection.
“Over the last 18 months, we noticed that more women were moving away from the traditional stick and limb patterns and gravitating towards more of the abstract patterns, including digital hybrids. Girls with Guns® Clothing was founded for the gun girls, and we wanted to incorporate an abstract option in our newest hunting collection,” said Jen. Norrisa added, “After we saw the Veil Alpine™ pattern at our first meeting with Veil®, we knew we had to have it! Not only is it the perfect Western pattern, but it actually blends well with all terrains. Veil® really put in the work to make this an extremely versatile pattern.”
Veil’s Alpine™ pattern was designed for “above and below the treeline,” obscuring the outline in a combination of old-school WWII techniques and cutting edge color-changing technology, perfectly complimenting Girls with Guns® newest technical hunting line. Jen and Norissa sifted through hundreds of customer comments and over 300 days worth of field testing notes to design their 2017 line. “We knew that our previous [hunting] lines were good; we were the first in the industry to offer a hook and loop pull tab adjustable waistband and a snap lock adjustable inseam – 32 to 36 inch inseam from the same pair of pants – but we wanted great, and I think that our partnership with Veil® Camo and their new Alpine™ pattern created exactly what we were looking for. This is the most affordable, well designed women’s hunting gear that we’ve ever seen.”
Girls with Guns® Clothing features Veil Alpine™ in the following styles:
The Artemis Midweight Collection features a durable water repellent Poly Span exterior and a high pile, minky soft fleece interior for added warmth. Artemis is breathable, highly waterproof and windproof; it knows no boundaries. A redesigned fit provides 4-way stretch and articulated joints (knees and hips) for a second-skin feel that moves with your body. Artemis features zippered accessory pockets, an asymmetrical design, and GWG®’s signature adjustable waistband tabs and inseam snaps. The Artemis Midweight 3 Layer Softshell Collection is available in a jacket, a vest, and a pant.
The Kilima Reversible Puff Jacket is a redesign of the GWG® customer favorite reversible puff jacket from Fall 2016. The outer shell fabric has been refinished with Cire, giving the exterior a high sheen, protective coating. The interior has been upgraded with 80 grams of Primaloft Silver HI-LOFT, a high warmth-to-weigh ratio, water resistant insulation originally developed for the U.S. Army. This jacket is reversible from Alpine™ camo to gun metal grey and packable in its attached storage bag. Perfect as an outer layer or a layering piece.
The Aoraki Lightweight Pant is similar in fit and finish to her midweight sister Artemis, minus the high pile, minky soft interior, making Aoraki the perfect early season, warm weather hunting pant. Aoraki features a durable water repellent Poly Span breathable exterior. A redesigned fit provides 4-way stretch and articulated joints (knees and hips) for a second-skin feel that moves with your body. Aoraki features zippered accessory pockets, an asymmetrical design, and GWG®’s signature adjustable waistband tabs and inseam snaps.
The Stalker Collection helps you build a stronger foundation so you can know no boundaries. Featuring a moisture wicking, antimicrobial finish, these fitted performance base layers are the perfect layering pieces for your mid and late season hunts. The Stalker Base Layer Collection is available in a 1/4 zip long sleeve, a short sleeve tee, and a pant.
