The Greene County Department of Recreation will offer a free three-week introductory sporting clays class for women. “Women’s Intro to Sporting Clays” will be held at 5:30 p.m. every Thursday from Sept. 5 to 19 at Hunting Hills in Dilliner, PA.

Join women anglers from across the country for fishing, camaraderie and fun at Trout Unlimited’s second annual women’s retreat.

Sponsored by the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, this Becoming an Outdoors-Woman “Beyond BOW” event is designed for women with previous hiking or backpacking skills, or those that are in good physical condition.

The Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Belize Caribbean Adventure will be held March 8-16, 2014. Kayaking, snorkeling and exploring Mayan ruins are just a few of the trip highlights.

Smith & Wesson, a U.S.-based leader in firearm design and manufacturing, has signed on as a bronze sponsor for the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt. Smith & Wesson professional shooting team captain Julie Golob will attend the hunt as a special guest. The hunt will take place October 3 to October 6, 2013, at The Ranch at Ucross outside Buffalo, Wyoming, and will be hosted by the Wyoming Women’s Foundation.

Women interested in getting in some hands-on practice before the October pheasant season opener may want to check out a special offering from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). On Saturday, Sept. 7, the DNR’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program will hold a one-day “Beyond BOW” pheasant-hunting workshop just for women.

Cast One For Hope is scheduled for October 4 – 5, 2013, and will take place in Western Montana.

The International Women’s Fishing Association’s 5th Annual “Carolina Blue Funament” is scheduled for September 18 – 21, 2013.

The North West Illinois Turkey Chapter of the NWTF will be holding a special event to teach youth how to shoot a bow and arrow on July 27 and 28, 2013. Located at the Cabela’s in Hoffman Estates, Ill., the event will kick off at 1:00pm both days and all gear will be provided.

Registration for the Nebraska Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop is now open. The event will take place Oct. 4-6 at the 4-H camp in the Bessey Division of the Nebraska National Forest, and is designed to encourage women to learn about ways to participate in outdoor activities.

Women can learn the basics of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills at a weekend workshop Sept. 13-15, coordinated by Washington Outdoor Women.

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife will offer a women’s shooting sports workshop for 60 women in July. The event will take place July 12 – 14, and will allow participants both classroom and range training on gun safety and handling.
