Beth Cowgill is the proud proprietor of the up-and-coming shooting website titled Sass, Brass & Bullets. Her website is dedicated to the promotion of women in shooting sports, but also focuses on the protection of our 2nd Amendment rights as well as encouraging everyone to become involved in an outdoor activity. Beth’s writings have beenshared on numerous websites like GunUp.com, the NRAblog.com, The Women’s Outdoor Media Association and Outdoor Channel. Beth is also a freelance writer for Shooting Sports USA and Front Sight Magazine.
In the fall of 2001, Beth began working for a well-known shooting, reloading,gunsmithing and hunting distributor, MidwayUSA, which is located in Columbia, Mo. She credits her passion for the outdoors and shooting sports to this company. In the summer of 2009, Beth started working as volunteer for the NRA Bianchi Cup Action Pistol Championship as a range officer. This was her first introduction into Action Pistol shooting. She was so fascinated with the sport and the camaraderie of the shooters that she started competing in local IPSC and NRA ActionPistol matches.
Beth is a member of the United States Practical Shooting Association, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, a Lifetime NRAMember, NRA Certified Instructor and Range Safety Officer and recently became a member of the Women’s Outdoor Media Association and the National Shooting Sports Foundation. She currently volunteers her time to educate youth about gun safety through the NRA’s Eddie Eagle Program and is the Girl Scout Troop leader for her daughter’s troop where she shares her passion of the outdoors with the girls in her troop.
