My Job … My Outdoors: Tasha Hanish — a mom and a shooter all rolled into one dynamo

thanishtnaShe has a name that is remembered — Tasha Hanish. Just rolls off the lips. Married to world class shooter Mark Hanish, Tasha represents FNH, along with Mark, in national gun competitions. As a wife, mother, professional shooter and sales representative for Springer Precision, this woman stays on the balls of her feet and in motion on and off the match course. And, it’s refreshing to see that a woman calls her kids a “job.”

My Job

Currently I am a stay at home mom in Arizona. We have a two-and-a-half- year-old girl, Alexis, and a seven-year-old-boy, Daniel. Between sports and their school I keep myself very busy. I have also been doing some independent sales representation for Scott Springer of Springer Precision. My newest occupation is being a full time shooter for FNH USA. Shooting is my passion; it takes a lot of time, devotion and support to make it happen. I will also be doing some contract work for FNH USA in the near future so that I can be more beneficial for their company.

My Outdoors

I love anything that has to do with the outdoors. I was raised in a family that camped, hunted, fished, etc. Since then I have grown very fond and have a great appreciation for the outdoors. I love to hike, shoot, camp, hunt, fish, rock climb, or just go for walks. If it can be done outdoors, then I’ll probably be right there with everyone else. I participate in these types of shooting: IPSC (USPSA), Multi-gun (rifle, shotgun and pistol) and steel shooting. I’m  learning how to do trap and skeet … and always willing to try new adventures! I have hunted deer and elk; however, we are looking into antelope, bear, quail and hopefully in the next couple years an African trip. If nothing else, for the experience.
