Refuse To Be A Victim® launches online instructor's course

Refuse To Be A Victim® will be launching their online instructor’s course for those who do not live near an active Regional Counselor (outside a 200 mile range). Anyone who is at least eighteen years old and who does not have a criminal record will have access to instructor training via any computer with a high speed internet connection. The instructor candidates will view a Refuse To Be A Victim® Seminar, learn how to plan and conduct Refuse To Be A Victim® Seminars, and the policies and procedures of being an NRA instructor for the Refuse To Be A Victim® program. During the Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) portion instructor candidates will plan their own mock seminar. A Regional Counselor will be the online professor assisting and mentoring students along the way. At the successful conclusion of the online course the instructor candidates will receive the Refuse To Be A Victim® instructor credential.

The home study option for NRA instructors to become Refuse To Be A Victim® instructors has closed. (The home validation for Training Counselors is still available.) Any instructor candidates who received permission for the home study and who purchased the IDW Kit have until January 31, 2010 to turn in their instructor application packets. The instructor application, agreement, quiz and certification fee must be received at NRA Headquarters by January 31, 2010. These documents may be faxed (703-267-3898), scanned and emailed (rsprague@nrahq.org), or mailed to Refuse To Be A Victim® (11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, Virginia 22030).
