SHE Outdoor Apparel recognizes the spirit of the survivor with the creation of this annual
award. Nominations are being accepted now through June 30, 2010. Persons may nominate a
female individual whose words, actions or demeanor serve to exemplify, inspire, set an
example, and celebrate the spirit of a survivor who has overcome difficult odds, conditions or
situations. An individual may only win this award once in her lifetime.

LETTER OF NOMINATION (500 words or less)
Please read our criteria for nomination before writing this letter. Please describe the
breadth and extent of the nominees survivor spirit. Be concise and cite specific
examples of outcomes or influence that came from the nominee’s efforts. The selection
committee will appreciate background on the issue or subject of the nominee’s actions
in addition to insight into their character and spirit.

2010 DEADLINES AND TIMEFRAME OF SUBMISSION
Nominations will be accepted from May 17 through June 30. All applications must be
postmarked by June 30 and received no later than midnight Wednesday July 7. The
winner will be chosen by a committee. Decisions of the committee are final. The winner
will be notified and announced September 1, 2010.
ELIGIBILITY
SHE Outdoor Apparel employees, members of the SHE TEAM (pro/advisory and field
staff) are not eligible to win this award, however, they are eligible to submit a
nomination. Former nominees who did not win, may be nominated again. Nominations
will not carry over to the next year, new entries must be submitted each year. An
individuals may only win this award once in her lifetime.
