Survey says … Women make up 25 percent of trout angling population

In an addendum to a detailed economic reported compiled by Anna Harris, an economist with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and based on the 2006 Survey of Fishing Hunting and Wildlife-Associated Recreation, 25 percent of trout anglers are women. They also earned an above average income, helped spend $4.8 billion on trout fishing purchases and generated 13.6 billion in economic output.
