Women of USPSA poll lets shooting sports fans predict Steel Challenge winners

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. – Women of USPSA, in cooperation with the Steel Challenge Shooting Association, has launched a survey asking fans of the shooting sports to weigh in on who they think will win this year’s Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships.

Fans can vote for their favorite shooters by going to www.WomenofUSPSA.com <http://www.WomenofUSPSA.com> , clicking the Steel Challenge logo and casting votes in 16 different categories. The voting will conclude at 5:00pm EST on Tuesday, August 17 and the final results will be announced on Wednesday, August 18. Competition is set to begin Thursday morning, the 19th, on the Steel Challenge ranges in Piru, Calif. The match will conclude Saturday, August 21 when the final shots are fired in the open pistol division and a new overall World Speed Shooting Champion is crowned.

“Women of USPSA is always looking for ways to keep shooters active both on and off the range, so we’ve partnered with SCSA to provide an opportunity for everyone to cast their vote for their favorite shooters at the Steel Challenge,” said Julie Golob, Women of USPSA co-founder and captain of the Smith & Wesson shooting team.

“Even if you aren’t able to compete, the Women of USPSA survey is a fun way to be a part of the action. So vote for your champion now and vote often!”

The Steel Challenge brings together the best shooters in the world to test their speed and skill against the clock. Among those competing at this year’s match are past champions Max Michel, K.C. Eusebio, J.J. Racaza, Tatsuya Sakai, Jessie Abbate, Kay Miculek and Golob, herself a two-time champion.

“Everybody has an opinion on who the top shooter is and that’s why we’re so excited to be working with Women of USPSA to give shooting fans the chance to pick the winners at this year’s Steel Challenge. This is the premier showcase for the world’s fastest shooters so picking the winners will be no easy task,” said Scott Moore, Steel Challenge sponsor relations.
