Woman Hunter magazine raises funds for breast cancer research with Oct/Nov issue and clay event

Woman Hunter is producing a special cancer magazine issue and hosting a special Breast Cancer Sporting Clay Fundraiser event.  You opened your hearts and shared your personal stories with us about how you healed from cancer through hunting and fishing. This inspired us to honor your stories in a special issue.  Cancer touches each of us in different ways. Everyone knows someone who is struggling with this dreaded disease. It may be a family member, friend, coworker, neighbor or possibly even yourself. This disease is indiscriminate, it effects children, young adults, middle-aged adults as well as the elderly. The good news is, not a week goes by where researchers are not finding new ways to cure this disease, or to improve a person’s quality of life. We can make a diffference!

For every single-issue Oct/Nov 2010 purchased (non-subscription), we will donate 50 cents to the American Cancer Society. Here’s your chance to share the magazine with other women that love to hunt while donating to the cause. Single-copy issues can be purchased via our website, you can send a check via postal mail, or pick them up locally in Michigan at the following stores:

Williams Gun Sight & Supply

Ed’s Archery

Spot Shooter Archery

Frank’s Great Outdoors

You can also help by attending our event Bust ‘Em for Breast Cancer on Saturday, October 2, 2010. This event brings sportswomen and men together to raise money for breast cancer. We want to show our community that we walk with them, only our walk is around the sporting clay course.
