Update from BOW's Peggy Farrell

Dear Becoming an Outdoors-Woman friends,

We have two event opportunities now open for registration.

The first is our BOW Destinations Rocky Mountain Adventure (at long last!). Many of you have waiting patiently for this trip to open up. Thank you for your patience and best of luck in getting a spot in this much-anticipated adventure! Visit our website for information on how to register.

The second event is our second annual Learn to Hunt Wild Turkeys workshop in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin.

Other programs on the horizon include the Birding and Wildflowers weekend, May 6-8 at Wyalusing State Park, the 6th annual Rose Farm Fly Fishing weekend, June 4-5 in the Waupaca area, and For the Love of Loons, July 24-26 (Sunday – Tuesday) near Woodruff. These workshops, along with the Apostle Islands Sea Kayaking workshop, September 2-5, and the Devil’s Lake State Park Rock Climbing weekend, September, 30-October 2, will have open registration the first week of March.

And of course, Happy Birthday BOW! (1991-2011) will be celebrated August 26-28, 2011 at Treehaven Field Station where the very first BOW workshop in the country was held 20 years ago. Join us for a big celebration with VIP guests including Dr. Christine Thomas, founder of the BOW program and Dean of the College of Natural Resources at UWSP.

Watch our website for updates and the addition of other events!

All the best,

Peggy
