Goodbye LBRB (little black range bag) … hello pretty little Cody (Wanna win it?)

The quest for a good-looking range bag was the motivation that started Bang Bang Boutique.  There are women for whom the LBRB (little black range bag), while a classic, is just not an option.  Some women want a range bag that is uniquely their own and would never be mistaken for their husband’s gear.

I MISSED THE DEADLINE!!!!!!!!! 🙁 But I still love the Range Bag! I’m not girlie either but other than my guns of course extra mags and ammo and of course my loader (makes life so much easier) because my man Always forgets it! Cell phone and a drink…What more do you need!

    • Barbara Baird says: December 9, 2011 at 5:59 pm

Well now, Debra … why don’t you try to win the other range bag we’re giving away and a hat with pink bling on it along with some way cool Buckmark shooting glasses? Thanks for checking in, though.

  • Cindy says: December 7, 2011 at 11:15 pm

I love this! My hubby would do a double take, I’m sure. I’d put my eye & ear protection in there, along w/ ammo. Probably a bottle of water & lip gloss. Thanks for offering it! I don’t have a range bag yet. This one is very unique!

  • Danielle Lau says: December 7, 2011 at 11:38 am

Just learned about these bags from my alumni magazine from Wentworth! So glad to see a fellow WIT grad creating something I would use!
What would I carry other than my firearm?
    -snack
    -water
-ear protection (headphones and ear plugs)
    -lip gloss
    -cell phone
    -mini first aid kit
    -keys
    -extra targets
    -staples & staple gun
    -ammo
    -screwdriver & site/scope tool

I would most likey try to stuff more things in there as I am one of those people that is always prepared.

Love the bags and I am looking into getting one of the basic gun cases for when i purse carry.

  • Heidi says: December 7, 2011 at 11:29 am

New to the range & have minimum gear at the moment, so this would be great! Would have my safety gear, my Berreta Px4 Storm 40 S&W, lipgloss & some of my “girly bullets”! 😉 haha

  • Trudy says: December 7, 2011 at 11:18 am

I would keep my iPhone because Ialways need my shooting range app that has taken me to some great ranges no matter where I am. This bag design is just so awesome.

  • Andi Schwartz says: December 7, 2011 at 10:55 am

I LOVE this bag! So many of the CC bags are ugly! I have a S&W M&P Compact 9mm and I think it would be awesome in this! I’ve had a hard time finding a bag I like to carry it in. I’m hoping to soon get a Sig P238. Since this is adorable, I would use it as a regular purse! I would carry my 40’s shade inspired red lipstick, a comb and my CC permit of course.

  • Janice says: December 6, 2011 at 10:45 pm

My ammo, my eye and ear protection and of course my lipstick.

  • Traci Schauf says: December 5, 2011 at 9:00 am

I agree- this is the perfect crossover between serious black and too frilly. In my bag- chocolate, dark chocolate, lots of it. And a book!

  • Nadine in Nevada says: December 4, 2011 at 11:24 am

OMG – the Chocolate/Pink bag ROCKS! It would be soooooooooo cool to have my own bag for the range. I’d put my S&W .38 Bodyguard in there, box of ammo, ear/eye protections, bottle of water. . . that would be for the range.

Then for around town – my chihuahua would look amazing with her little head sticking out of this bag as we ran errands. LOL

  • Tracy Perkins says: December 4, 2011 at 1:38 am

Other thank my pink realtree hero dipped Sig SP2022, eyes and ears, mags and ammo…I’d have my lipstick, mirror and brush ofcourse. I’d also through in my diva leopard print shooting gloves and a fingernail file. Lol.

  • robin says: December 3, 2011 at 7:41 pm

I have to say I am not girlie at all! but I love this bag! The one thing I would add besides my gun? my hot pink lipstick fan! especially in the summer. in the winter maybe some hand warmers! LOVE THIS BAG 🙂

  • Stephanie Bailey says: December 3, 2011 at 7:25 pm

Love shooting at range but also love fashion! Besides my Glocks I would use this bag to carry my pink eyes and ears, extra ammo, targets, mags, my pink Benchmade knife,Pink Benchmade defensive pen, my Surefire flashlight. my pink Otter Box with my iphone in it, some paracord, and my lipgloss and hairbrush!

  • Jennifer says: December 3, 2011 at 5:54 pm

I would put my brand new Glock 34 with pink grip in it to start off!

  • Barbara Baird says: December 3, 2011 at 5:46 pm

I have outright laughed at some your comments! So glad to see such senses of humor! Thanks for commenting and for giving Kimberly Bortz such a boost. She knows she’s on the right track, I’m sure, and if we can support her, that would even be better! Remember, she’s throwing in a free set of shooting glasses with each order, so if you don’t win it, or if you do and want to order another one for someone else, just let her know. Thanks, again, and thanks for stopping by The WON! BTW, let us know what’s happening in your outdoor lives — here or at our Facebook page. We’re all in this together!

  • Jennifer K says: December 3, 2011 at 5:44 pm

Being a mother of seven, the youngest only 6 weeks old, I don’t want to be carrying around any more than I have to, so I’d say, my wallet, some lip stick and a few diapers!

  • Lisa Eason says: December 3, 2011 at 4:13 pm

My gun, range stuff (ear muffs, shooting glasses, ammo), wallet, may even carry it as my purse which would include my checkbook, tech case with flash drive and phone charger, etc, etc, etc…

  • Tonya says: December 3, 2011 at 4:10 pm

Besides my weapon & ammo…I just bet I could fit and put my little ZOE in that bag! lol! 🙂

  • MeiLing Diaz says: December 3, 2011 at 10:39 am

I am also not much of a girly girl, so this would probably replace my purse so that i can carry concealed. So I would have to say outside of the gun and accessories (eye protection, ammo, extra mags, ear plugs, etc), it would my wallet. As a responsible woman would, I would want to make sure i had my license and CWP with me at all times. 🙂

  • Linda C says: December 3, 2011 at 9:32 am

Love, love, love the bag! Besides my Smith & Wesson M&P, I would have all of my necessary shooting equipment, glasses, hearing protection, and magazines. I always clip on a little chap stick holder to the handle but I would need to get the bag monogrammed with my name to truly make it my own. MY current black bag is monogrammed in hot pink!

  • Charlotte Asevado says: December 3, 2011 at 9:13 am

I would definitely have my little extras I carry such as my mags, my mini tool bag and emergency kit, ammo, eye gear, my ear protection….I’m really liking this bag so much I’m gonna put my make up and wallet and brush in it too…it will double as my purse also!! Thanks for creating such a stylish bag for ladies! I can’t wait for my male shooting friends to see it….its gonna be a priceless look on their face…a purse at the range! 😉

  • Kim Bortz says: December 3, 2011 at 8:07 am

    Thanks again ladies,
    Kim Bortz

  • Angela Hermes says: December 3, 2011 at 2:01 am

I love this little bag it is so cute! Maybe it is too cute for a range bag? I would of course need ammo, hearing protection, extra clips, my range pass and probably a pocket mirror and hairbrush.

  • Phil Wong says: December 3, 2011 at 12:34 am

Knowing my girlfriend, she’ll have spare mags, 2-4 boxes of ammo, eye/ear protection…and a double fistful of Mary Kay samples.

FYI – we’re both in Tucson, so if you’re looking for a Mary Kay Consultant…

  • Rachel H. says: December 2, 2011 at 10:05 pm

This bag is adorable! Besides the guns and ammo, I would definitely include a speedloader, knife and my pink leatherman. You can never underestimate the value of a good multi-tool at the range.

  • Hope says: December 2, 2011 at 10:00 pm

I love this!! I already get teased at the IDPA matches and some of the other matches I attend. I would have to carry lipgloss, Nutragrain bar, extra ear protection, gloves, my small cleaning kit, all in-one tool, of course extra mags, ammo and my M&P. i should probably throw in some sort of pain reliever and bandaids.

  • Sara Ahrens says: December 2, 2011 at 9:18 pm

I love that bag! I would carry pepper spray, a knife, handcuffs and my badge…the bad guys would never expect that! (Did I mention I work in the 9th most dangerous city in the US, so I sort of have to carry all that stuff all the time LOL.)

  • Stephanie Cooper says: December 2, 2011 at 8:38 pm

I would LOVE this bag for my Walther 22LR , expectly since my Birthday is on the 11th 😉 I would carry my lip gloss (Because you still have to look good at the range), earplugs (So I can’t hear my Hubby telling me how much better he is than me), my baby Browning knife (So I can threaten my Hubby with it if he gets too cocky.) Extra ammo (LOTS EXTRA, so when my Hubby is out of ammo and he’s ready to go I can still enjoy myself while he’s sitting there all bored.), a snack (we have to keep our energy up). Can’t you tell I just LOVE going to the range with my Hubby! These bags are the cutest and they will ensure the Hubs won’t touch! Hee Hee!!

  • Krista Weathers says: December 2, 2011 at 8:24 pm

My iPhone. Gotta stay connected. Love the bag!!!

  • Bobbie Jo Shutt says: December 2, 2011 at 7:56 pm

I’m so happy that there is more accessories for women shooters. Besides my gun, ammo, eyes & ear protection I would be carrying my leatherman, water, skittles, chapstick & wallet. I love all the work you women are doing for our fellow ladies out there who are into or new to the sport of shooting & hunting. Keep up the great work! I hope I receive this awesome bag but if not good luck to all the ladies.

  • KDB says: December 2, 2011 at 7:55 pm

I teach other women how to shoot. Wouldn’t it be a great idea for me to carry this bag to advertise it for all of the new women shooters coming along? Haven’t seen one of these in my gun store yet. Great idea!!!

  • Nancy Frye says: December 2, 2011 at 7:43 pm

What a snazzy way to tote my piece when I’m in the big city! This bag looks big enough to slip in a folder with headshots and resumes for auditions, as well as a good book to read on the ferry.

  • Audrey S says: December 2, 2011 at 7:26 pm

Beautiful bag. Besides shooting essentials, I like to carry a Leatherman, miniature screw driver set and big ole staple gun. There is no faster way to make friends than to have tools handy when someone happens to need them.

  • Jenn says: December 2, 2011 at 7:17 pm

I’d also carry my go-girl for long days at the outdoor range and baby wipes (that most guys won’t bring but always steal) just for starters 🙂 Loving this bag! No reason to lose your femininity while packing heat.

  • Erin says: December 2, 2011 at 6:36 pm

How cute! Besides the guns, I would throw in my pink ear protection, my camera and cell. Also a cute scarf since the range is always cold. And definitely some chocolate to make it to the range and back.

  • Emily says: December 2, 2011 at 6:34 pm

Other than my Walther, I would put my targets my comfy ear muffs and my little doggie, Mr. Bailey, who loves to go shooting with me!

  • Teresa says: December 2, 2011 at 5:56 pm

Eyes, ears, hand wipes, and lip gloss.

  • Yvonne says: December 2, 2011 at 5:27 pm

I’d love to show this off at the range and the IDPA shoots. Besides my Glock 19 w/pink grip and pink mags I’d have my pink safety glasses, custom ear plugs, LOTS of ammo, a mini first aid kit, mini cleaning kit, speed loader, glock tool, extra mags, targets, lipstick, gum and of course money to buy more goodies to put in it.

  • Mary says: December 2, 2011 at 5:18 pm

I’m sure my pink earmuffs and neon colored targets would look great in this bag! 🙂

  • rebecca friedrich says: December 2, 2011 at 5:00 pm

I would pack the my stun gun / taser in this bag also ! These are really cute !!! I share a bag with my husband this isnt real convienent . Range glasses. Chap stick and pocket knife will fit this well also . so cute !

  • Amy S. says: December 2, 2011 at 4:42 pm

I love this bag! I’d carry extra mags and ammo. Another must is Carmex or Burt’s Bees!

  • Sue says: December 2, 2011 at 4:37 pm

My husband keeps taking all my range stuff (including my pistols). I have been looking for a bag that is just for me that he wouldn’t take. This bag is perfect! Not only does it show everyone that a woman with class can kick some *ss, it also would help me keep my range stuff in one place so I am ready at a moment’s notice to go to the range! Have to have it! Santa, are you listening???

  • Chriss Adams says: December 2, 2011 at 4:25 pm

It would be full of all kinds of stuff, kid stuff like diapers, wipes (need those at the range too to wipe of the gun powder from your hands and face!), Lip Gloss and powder (to re-do yourself after the wetwipe clean up), highlighters (to mark which pistol I used for which shots on the target), note pad, pen and pencil, knife, wallet (real and fake – fake to throw at a potential mugger and give me time to fall back), keys, bag of loose change. Cell phone(s), day planner and oh yeah the pistol and extra clips!

  • Lisa MacIntyre says: December 2, 2011 at 4:14 pm

Other than my gun and typical range gear, I’d have to throw some lip gloss in there. It definitely wouldn’t be out of place in this chic little bag!

  • Cathi Bray says: December 2, 2011 at 3:48 pm

These are really cool! How about including my concealed carry permit :0) – along with all of the other necessities in a girl’s life: ammo, extra mags, ears, eyes, Burt’s Bees…..

  • Kaci Lusk says: December 2, 2011 at 3:27 pm

I would carry my ears, my cougar eyes (also from BBB) and my stapler for targets! LOVE ITT!!

  • Laura says: December 2, 2011 at 3:24 pm

gloves, extra clips, speed loader, eyes and ears, highlighter and lipgloss 🙂

  • gretchen says: December 2, 2011 at 3:18 pm

Addicted to bags, and tired of carrying hubby’s make-shift! I would carry all of my gear in style! Specifically my pink pistol!

  • Becky says: December 2, 2011 at 3:06 pm

I would use it to carry my eye & ear protection, ammo for the .300 whisper, .308, and my .17Mach II plus those barrels and a camera to record the awesome shots I make that day. Definitely needs to have a Coke, some M&M’s, and a tube of some great tinted lip gloss in it. It would be great to have my own bag and not have to use that ugly black range bag of my husbands anymore. That chocolate & pink paisley is the bomb! I might need more than one…..hmmmm…gotta share this link as a idea for Christmas.

  • Sarah Daniels says: December 2, 2011 at 3:03 pm

    Here comes the girlie girl…
1.) Avon Glimmersticks eyebrow pencil in Taupe
    2.) Benefit Bad Gal mascara
    3.) Stila lip gloss
    4.) Allen Sound Sensors
    5.) Cougar pink safety glasses
    6.) Infiniti key fob
    7.) iPhone4
    8.) Montblanc pen
    9.) Business cards
    10.) Baby Glock 26

  • Christine says: December 2, 2011 at 3:02 pm

I could fit the world in a small bag! I’d start with eyes and ears, wallet, ammo, chapstick, oil blotters, bandana, water bottle…

    • Donna Segulin says: December 2, 2011 at 4:44 pm

The one thing i will put in my bag besides my gun? Your business card. Because everyone will want to know where I got my awesome bag!

  • Shannon Hall says: December 2, 2011 at 2:56 pm

besides my gun, ammo, shooting glasses, and ear plugs…the only other thing i would put in this bag is my glittery, glossy, pink lip gloss…knocks ’em dead every time!!

  • Ashley Allen of Phoenix says: December 2, 2011 at 2:50 pm

Well we can’t say our guns but what about the ammo? lol
Okay okay my earplugs as well as some chapstick hey a girl still gotta look cute! 😉

  • Amy Murphy says: December 2, 2011 at 2:47 pm

Ahhhh! So stinkin’ cute! I’m so glad that there are people out there creating things like this for us girls! :)))
I’d most definitely fill this up with …
    – Extra ammo and magazines
    – Ear and eye protection
    – Small gun cleaning kit
    – Some extra snaps for my FLASHBANG Bra Holster! 😀
    – Maybe even a back-up gun
    – Gloves
    – Keys
    – iPhone
    – Last but not least… LIPSTICK! 😀

  • Annette D. says: December 2, 2011 at 2:43 pm

One thing I’d put in that adorable bag, besides my firearm? Lip gloss! Cause I still like to look good, even when I’m shooting!

  • HeleneHenkel says: December 2, 2011 at 2:38 pm

I am new to shooting and have not purchased my handgun yet. What I would add is lipstick.

  • MicheleZoutes says: December 2, 2011 at 2:34 pm

Great bag! I love that it is feminine, but not froo froo. It would hold all the things needed for a day at the range, both my CZ75 and my LCR, along with my lip gloss for going out afterward!

  • Tessa says: December 2, 2011 at 2:34 pm

I have been looking for a gun range bag that wasnt just black like my husbands. I am a girl and I like to shoot guns but I would like to carry my stuff in a cute bag as well. I have to say as soon as I saw yours on Facebook I fell in love. I would carry all my range stuff in this bag but what I would put in this bag also is my jewelry when I get to the range. I go after work sometimes and am often trying to put rings and bracelets in my pockets but with this bag I can store those in it until I was done shooting. Thanks for creating an awesome looking gun range bag.

  • Lisa Lovelace says: December 2, 2011 at 2:33 pm

Lipstick, ear protection and my toy rat terrier, Sassy!

  • Cody Frederick says: December 2, 2011 at 2:20 pm

I am a new gun owner. I have owned my Sig Sauer for 10 days now! I love it! Now I am on the quest for accessories for everything, from carrying it to the gun range and holsters. I think I have looked at every website for range bags, I love that this is not the traditional bag, it doesn’t even look like a range bag. I think their would be times I would throw my wallet in there and go shopping. Besides it has my name on the front, it’s already monogrammed!

  • Micah cash says: December 2, 2011 at 2:14 pm

Love this!!!! I would carry my wallet in this bag. Its so cute I wouldn’t need to carry my purse also, and you never know when you will need your debit card to by another gun. LOL!!!

  • Anne Koontz says: December 2, 2011 at 1:56 pm

Like most everyone else, I’ not a super girly girl, but I want pretty things. I love the idea of a bag that can easily go from range to dinner. This would end up holding everything for the rage: ammo, Glock, eyes, ears, chocolate -range essential on bad days!), etc. In addition, sunglasses, chap-stick, keys, wallet, and whatever else gets dropped in. I found a spoon yesterday. Sigh. But at least it would be stylish and awesome to carry!

  • beatriz lopez says: December 2, 2011 at 1:44 pm

Im the only girl Ive seen at my range club… Ive had a lot of compliments from guys for my pink protective gear. I love the attention i get for that! (haha) and the bag would complement my set perfectly. Inside, besides the necessary things to shoot and my regular purse things, Id put the small picture of my bro who passed away in a car crash. It goes with me everywhere, so pretty little Cody wouldn’t be the exception. That’s my lucky charm! 🙂

    thanks for the contest!

    ~b

  • Jackie Thompson says: December 2, 2011 at 1:18 pm

So cute!! I think this bag would be perfect for traveling and carrying all of my shooting accoutrements: eyes, ears, ammo, extra lenses, snacks (always essential!)… And ever since this past hunting season and my first experience learning about field dressing deer, extra RUBBER GLOVES!

  • Kelly says: December 2, 2011 at 1:10 pm

The entire contents of my purse would be transferred to this beauty that would become my new favorite. I’m loving these bags, especially since it would accommodate my Glock 23 and Rueger LCP so brilliantly! Forget about taking it to the range, I’d take it everywhere and brag to my pistol packin’ hot momma friends who would want their own.

  • Tempy Rexford says: December 2, 2011 at 12:57 pm

First off, I would like to say that I don’t normally carry a purse. However, I love this one and I find myself in situations where I need a purse, or actually a backpack. I currently have a camouflage purse, but I can’t take it to the family Christmas gathering without having family members look at me like I’m an alien. I think the purse would be perfect for my needs without looking like a girl just crawled out of my skin.
I train, judge and run hunting dogs so browns and earth tones are soooooo my colors. The things that would be put in this purse are things like my; FOID card, Driver’s License, money, hunting license, pocket knife, a bottle of water (for the dog, of course) range finder and of course my PWS (Pink Whistle Society) lanyard with my Fox40 Pearl pink whistle. I love the purse and my family wouldn’t think I have went “foo-foo”….they don’t have to know what’s inside 🙂

  • Shelley Rae says: December 2, 2011 at 12:44 pm

Those are really neat. I am going to have to throw my name in here and say that I would have my shot timer, extra mags and LOTS OF AMMO in there with my gun. I guess I’m simple.

  • Steph B says: December 2, 2011 at 12:01 pm

One additional thing I’d put in the bag… chapstick. It’s in every coat pocket and in every purse. I’ve been looking for a nice carry bag/purse too. My body’s frame isn’t conducive to shoulder or hip holsters – unless it’s winter and I’m in several layers. I definitely need a bag! And, these are so original and stylish!

  • Amy says: December 2, 2011 at 10:55 am

Hmmm. Let’s see.. Camera, photo albums, Excederin, chapstick, lip gloss, nail clippers, nail file, cell phone, and probably whatever else would fit.. 🙂

  • Cameon Eisenzimmer says: December 2, 2011 at 10:55 am

As the only consistent female competitive shooter in our club, I would love to have one of these. I am often trying to distinguish my range belongs from everyone else. The usual black, dark blue, or gray range bags just aren’t very appealing to this stylish shooter. I would love to put my pink and black firearm in there. And my pink shooting muffs. Maybe my pink shooting glasses. Are we seeing a theme yet? It would also hold my pink camo wallet, my pocket knife, my gloves and ear warmers, as it gets cold in North Dakota. I could carry my day planner, so I know when I am supposed to be at the range. I’m sure I could fit half my competitive range belongings in a bag like that. I think I could fit my competition belt and magazines as well. Plus, I would be assured NO ONE would walk away with it or accidentally take mine by mistake. I think it would be kind of obvious that a middle aged man had the wrong bag if people saw him walking around with it. Also, we always go out for dinner immediately following shoots and I feel naked without a stylish bag. This would allow me to do a quick change, go out to eat, and still allow me to feel feminine.
In ending, I would love to be the recipient of such a bag. It would allow me to stylish and trend-sending at the competitions. I would know immediately which bag is mine without walking aimless between tables. I do believe a bag like this could help preserve my sanity at matches. Plus, I’d look really good too.

  • Deb West says: December 2, 2011 at 10:53 am

Well, hearing protectors are a must, plus a knife, small screwdriver, candy bar, and small towel!!!

  • Margie Nelson says: December 2, 2011 at 10:53 am

OMG……I have a typical teenage son who has his own range bag, but his stuff is scattered all over the place in the “man cave” So he always grabs my pack, or my range bag because he knows that everything you need is in it. I bet he wouldn’t grab this range bag!!! I need one! Especially after I read Stacey H’s post! I have rocks and shells and 15 pounds of change in mine too!

  • Anne Vinnola says: December 2, 2011 at 10:35 am

I AM girly but then also very serious on the range… This bag is just like me!
Lula my .38 would fit well with extra ammo and any assorted shooting tools I would need…as well as a bit of lipgloss!

  • Barbara Baird says: December 2, 2011 at 10:33 am

Thank you, Ladies! Wow … you pack a lot of punch in a bag!

I have to agree with Stacey on this – I’m not so girly..and rarely carry a “purse” – more of a sling pack..but this would be nice enough for those occasions when I need to “girl it up /class it up”, and could go from the range/woods to out to dinner…what ever would I put in there? Press credentials, license and id pack…knife of course, headlamp, gerber, dog whistle and lead… and hmm would my tablet fit in there too? Now that would be dandy

I would love this range bag! Right now all my stuff goes in my husbands range bag and I want my own! My gun I hate that my husband totes it around …. It’s mine, not his lol! I would definitely also put my sunglasses in this bag…. Can’t live without them! Maybe some lip gloss too, can’t forget that!

I love them! I would love to win one so, as Stacey, I can see how much stuff I can cram into it. Shooting muffs, towel, extra oil, 10 magazines (because I shoot a .45 thus have to reload often.), rain jacket, umbrella, gloves, safety glasses, a couple cases of bullets! What else will fit?!

First of all I have to say~ I am not a “Girly girl” in the traditional sense. I only have a couple pair of shoes, and most of those are for practical purposes, I never paint my nails and bought a new curling iron 2 months ago that I still can’t figure out how to work.. lol~ ~ but I LOVE these! and the patterns are great. Would make a perfect purse. My pistol is right now floating around the bottom of my old LLBean bag that I usually end up forgetting at home because I don’t like carrying it.(the bag)~ These just say classy~ all over them.. Ok.. done gushing now..lol
What else would I put in it.?~ well lets see what I have in my purse now.. gun. speed loader, extra ammo (because you just never know) neck knife,` approx 15 lbs of spare change in a zipper on the side that also contains a ring, assorted rocks and a couple bolts, small sea shells I picked up on the beach 2 yrs ago and a pair of finger nail clippers.~ and a small bottle of tylenol.. But with this bag.. the possibilities are endless!
