I’m really kind of bummed about this. I live close to Cabela’s in CT. This hasn’t been promoted in any way here. I was in the store just a couple of days ago and saw nothing about it. I just happened to see this on Twitter. Looking at my store’s website, after navigating to events, there’s no mention of giveaways or register to win a gift card. Most of the seminars offered are about cooking “How To Make The Perfect Pancake”, etc. If the aim is to encourage women into shooting, hunting, fishing and other outdoor sports, this store’s offering falls short.
I’m probably going for some part of it, mostly hoping to meet other “outdoorsy” women.

Oh, Catherine. We feel your pain, even though we would like to know how to achieve pancake perfection. If you find out about why the store isn’t participating in a meaningful way, please will you check back with us? Also, are you able to teach outdoor skills? If so, you might want to think about stopping in, introducing yourself and offering to help with future seminars and workshops? Just a thought. Good luck and we look forward to finding out if you met some more outdoorsy women. Are you wanting to hunt or shoot or fish or what? We might have some contacts for you!
