Hercamoshop.com’s line of scent-free products and Michelle’s ‘unscientific’ study

I was recently the lucky winner of a prize package from The WON and www.HerCamoShop.com.  The package was large and bolstered a number of items, including HerCamoShop’s complete line of scent free body products: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair gel, hairspray, and lotion.

As a person with very sensitive skin, I was hesitant at first to try the products.  I generally have a hard time finding products that do not dry out my skin or cause an allergic reaction.  I was pleasantly surprised, however, by how well these body products worked.  The shampoo and conditioner left my hair soft and smooth, and the body wash left my skin feeling refreshed.  The hair gel and hairspray offer a light hold and helped keep my crazy hair under control.  My favorite product out of the group, however, is the lotion.  After using the scent-free lotion for three straight days, my skin was soft and supple; it works better than any other over-the-counter lotion I have found in years.

After falling in love with the HerCamoShop body products, I realized the true test was whether or not they are in fact “scent free.”  There are a number of “scent-free” products on the market; many of them work, while many do not.  I decided to put the HerCamoShop products to the test.

My (very unscientific) experiment involved the assistance of my award winning German Shorthair Pointer, Storm.  Storm and I like to play a friendly game of Hide-and-Seek every so often.  I hide, she seeks.  It is never a very fair game.  Storm has completed her NAVHDA Natural Ability Test, and competed in a few other field trials.   She has received top scores in tracking in every test she has run.

For this test, I bathed in the HerCamoShop body products and dressed in clothes laundered in my favorite scent free laundry detergent.  Then, I hid.  My son released Storm, and although she eventually found me, it took her considerably longer than normal to hunt me down.  I watched Storm from my perch while she searched and I could tell she was growing frustrated.  The HerCamoShop body products had clearly gave her nose a good challenge.

I look forward to using the HerCamoShop body products this fall as I take to the woods to hunt big game.  The bath products range in price from $4.49 to $6.99.  I will be placing an order soon at www.HerCamoShop.com to restock my own supply.

Love the experiment! Great to hear how well the products work. Sometimes scent free means doesn’t work well. Thanks for your review.
