Randi Rogers wins back-to-back USPSA Nationals

HOUSTON, TX – After 950 rounds, shot over 32 stages, across 6 days of competition in two championship events, TeamComp-Tac‘s Randi Rogers returned to the winner’s circle, not once but twice, winning both the Ladies Production and Ladies Limited-10 title at the 2012 USPSA Nationals. Rogers’ dual victories represent the second time in her career that she has won both major national titles at a USPSA back-to-back nationals event.

The U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s (USPSA) Production/ Limited/ Revolver Nationals took place October 14- 16, followed by the USPSA’s Open/ Limited-10 Nationals October 18- 20. Both events were hosted at the Desert Sportsmen’s Club in Las Vegas, Nev.

In the Production championship Rogers finished 38th out of 163 competitors, posting a record finish winning the Ladies title by 124 points. It was the third time Rogers has won the USPSA Ladies Production National Championship.

Rogers then went on to finish 29th out of 119 competitors in the Limited-10 championship where she took the Ladies title by 115 points. This was also the third time that Rogers has won the Ladies national title in USPSA’s Limited-10 division.

“Shooting USPSA is a high adrenaline, intense shooting sport with lots of physical, mental and shooting challenges. This year’s matches were particularly challenging with a large number of moving targets, and four standards stages in each match. After six long days of intense competition, I couldn’t be happier with the results,” exclaimed Rogers.

With title wins in both USPSA national championship events Rogers extends her 2012 National and world title count to five National titles in 2012, and 35 World and Nationals title over the course of her shooting career. Rogers won Ladies national championships at the Smith and Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals, US Steel Challenge Nationals, the IDPA Nationals and her 10th World Ladies World Championship title at the SASS End of Trail Cowboy Action World Championships.

“With the recent introduction of The International holster this is the first year that Comp-Tac has really focused on the sport of USPSA. So far the response has been very positive, and we could not be prouder to have helped Randi return to the winner’s circle. We look forward to working with more shooters in USPSA competition to help them achieve their dreams towards capturing a national title,” said Comp-Tac Owner and President Gregg Garrett.

Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Rogers will compete in the Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships in Frostproof, Fla., November 1-4.
