We have featured hundreds of Becoming an Outdoors-Woman events here at The WON, and we see that these workshops fill up fast. For most women, once they’ve experienced a new tradition or sport in the outdoors, they want to learn more. They want to practice and improve upon their newly found skill. In Texas, the Parks & Wildlife department offers a program called Texas Outdoors-Woman Network (T.O.W.N.) to offer opportunities for women to meet other women and go on fieldtrips or attend meetings that improve their skill levels.
