Randi Rogers wins High Lady at IDPA Carolina Cup

HOUSTON, Texas – Of the 351 shooters competing in the 2013 IDPA Carolina Cup, only four managed to get the better of Team Comp-Tac‘s Randi Rogers, who not only finished fifth overall in the hotly contested match but once again took home High Lady honors, making this the fourth year in a row she’s won that title.

Competing in the Stock Service Pistol division, Rogers posted a final time of 220.25 seconds, the third best time in the division, earning her second Master. Among the women shooting the match, Rogers outpaced her nearest competitor by 45.43 seconds.

Rogers’ performance at the Carolina Cup comes on the heels of her Production Division High Lady win at the NRA’s Bianchi Cup and represents her best overall finish in a major sanctioned IDPA competition.

“The Carolina Cup has always been one of my favorite matches and it never fails to push competitors to be extremely accurate with its challenging target arrays,” said Rogers.

“Last month’s Bianchi Cup, and its extreme emphasis on accuracy, really prepared me coming into this year’s Carolina Cup and helped me reach a new personal best overall finish of fifth place.”

The Carolina Cup was held this past weekend, June 13-15, at The Range in Oxford, North Carolina. Rogers’ victory represents her sixth major title of the season. Earlier this year Rogers won High Lady at the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals, the Costa Rica IDPA Nationals, the Texas State USPSA Championship, the USPSA’s Double Tap Championship and the Bianchi Cup.

In addition to Rogers, Comp-Tac Victory Gear, which was one of the Carolina Cup’s major sponsors, was also represented in the competition by Team Comp-Tac member and General Manager Gordon Carrell. Carrell placed second overall in the Enhanced Service Pistol division with a final time of 218.55 seconds.

Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Randi Rogers will compete this coming weekend at the 3Gun Nation Pro Series in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
