5th annual USO Wrangler National Patriot Tour to visit Coast Guard units on the Olympic Peninsula

SEATTLE — USO and American300 are scheduled to visit Coast Guard units on the Olympic Peninsula Monday through Wednesday to honor and salute America’s service members during the Memorial Day week.

The tour features World Champion Cowboy Kaycee Feild, Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association World Champion and Hall of Fame member Anne Ellett, former Miss Rodeo America and Miss Wrangler National Patriot 2011-2014 Maegan Ridley, Nashville country music singer and songwriter Lucas Hoge, and Wrangler Corporation director of western events and athletes Jeff Chadwick and is hosted by Marine Corps Col. John Bates, a three-time Purple Heart recipient and Army Lt. Robi Powers of American300 Tours.

This is the first year the American300 tour will tour with the Coast Guard. Previous tours have included visits to service members in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pacific Commands. The tour will include Coast Guard units in Washington including Station Quillayute RiverStation Neah Bay and Air Station/Sector Field Office Port Angeles. These events are open to active duty and reserve military members, dependents, veterans and MWR eligible patrons.

During the tour, the cowboys and cowgirls will share personal life stories, roping lessons, acoustic guitar performances and be available for meet-and-greets.

“My fans always comment on how supportive they are of my efforts to spend Memorial Day week with our service members each year,” said Hoge.  “We’ve created a five year approach to showcasing the branches and this year it’s all about our Coast Guard Guardians. I can’t wait to sing for them with the Pacific Ocean and Strait of Juan de Fuca right behind me.”
