HOUSTON, Texas, June 17, 2014 – Comp-Tac Victory Gear’s Randi Rogers won the Limited division Ladies title at the USPSA’s Double Tap Championship in Wichita Falls, Texas, this past weekend.
In addition to winning the Ladies title, Rogers finished 14th overall in the Limited division and outpaced her nearest ladies competitor by over 220 points. Winning 11 out of 12 stages in the ladies match up, Rogers took the title with a final score of 1,248.7871 points.
“This is an IPSC World Shoot year and the Double Tap was an important match on my training schedule and gave me the opportunity to fully test my World Shoot gear, including my Smith & Wesson M&P Pro .40, the ammunition I’ll be using and my Comp-Tac holster and magazine pouches. I was pleased to finish so well among the 117 shooters competing in the division and look forward to more matches like the Double Tap as I prepare for the World Shoot in October,” explained Rogers, sales and marketing manager for Comp-Tac.
Also competing in the match for Team Comp-Tac was Gordon Carrell who finished 5th overall and 3rd Master in the Production Division.
“Competitive shooting is one of the most important contributors to our work at Comp-Tac Victory Gear. We have the opportunity to see our products in use and get key feedback from customers and industry influencers. Branching out into more shooting sports has given me a greater understanding, as well as appreciation, for the diversity of the shooting sports and fellow shooters,” states Comp-Tac Team Member and General Manager Gordon Carrell.
Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Carrell and Rogers will compete at the IDPA Carolina Cup in Oxford, NC, June 21st – 22nd.
