North Dakota DIY Beyond BOW Series of Winter Workshops

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is offering a series of winter workshops for Beyond BOW (Becoming an Outdoors-Woman) participants. Check out the many opportunities to learn new skills.

  • Date: Saturday, December 13, 2014 – 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Location: North Dakota Game and Fish Department Main Office, Bismarck
  • Cost: $50

Create your own useful and attractive hiking staff. Participants will choose their own sticks and learn about different types of wood that make useful staffs. Participants will get hands-on experience as they customize their own staff.

Build a Fishing Rod

  • Date: Friday, January 23, 2015 – 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
    Saturday, January 24, 2015 – 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    Sunday, January 25, 2015 – Pick up your rod
  • Location: North Dakota Game and Fish Department Main Office, Bismarck
  • Cost: $150

Learn the fundamentals of construction and care of a fishing rod. Each participant will build their own rod to take home. In addition, they will learn how to match the rod, reel and line to optimize their fishing enjoyment.

Stuff It: Fowl Edition

  • Cost: $75
