Attention Bracket Lovers: Play ‘Critter Madness’ to Pick America’s Favorite Game Species

TRCP unveils its inaugural tournament on March 12
TRCP-crittermadnessWASHINGTON, D.C. – The Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership today announced their launch of “Critter Madness,” a tournament-style contest that will determine America’s favorite game species. Modeled on the popular NCAA basketball bracket, this tournament encourages American sportsmen and -women to vote on their favorite game animals and sport fish in a series of rounds. Facing off are 32 species, including elk, wild turkey, blue marlin, and bass from four distinct game “regions”—big game, upland birds and waterfowl, saltwater fish, and freshwater fish. First-round voting begins March 12 at crittermadness.org.

At the end of each of the five weekly rounds, the TRCP will reveal the fish or game species with the most votes. The Critter Madness champion will be announced on April 7. Participants are encouraged to log in to the contest to be eligible for weekly contestant prizes, which include an Orvis Gale Force pack, Berkley pliers, a Buck knife, Costa sunglasses, Abu Garcia Orra SX Low Profile baitcasting combo, custom Yeti Tundra 45 cooler, and a Remington Model 870 Express Super Mag Turkey/Waterfowl shotgun.
