Athletes will include five-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode (El Monte, California), 2012 Olympic gold medalist Jamie Corkish (Kalispell, Montana) and 2012 Olympian Amanda Furrer (Spokane, Washington), along with Olympic hopefuls Sarah Beard (Danville, Indiana), Amber English (Colorado Springs, Colorado), Kendall Reed (Azle, Texas), Kayle Browning Thomas (Wooster, Arkansas) and Kimberley Bowers (Lafayette, California).

USAShootingsportlogoUSA Shooting kicked off a brand awareness campaign ahead of the SHOT Show that hopes will rally the industry, asking all shooting sports enthusiasts to declare SHOOTING AS THEIR OLYMPIC SPORT.

The networking event is being hosted by the Bonnier Sportsmen’s Lounge with Remington Outdoor Company sponsoring light refreshments.

“There has been a major increase in the number of women enthusiastically participating in outdoor sports during the last decade or so,” said Barbara Baird, Publisher, Women’s Outdoor News and Contributing Editor to SHOT Daily and SHOT Business. “We are thrilled to host a gathering where women in the industry can meet, network and compare notes. So often the colleagues whom we collaborate with on a daily basis are just names on the other side of emails, so we’re delighted to take advantage of the fact that so many of us will be in the same place at the same time.”

The event will be held on Thursday, January 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Bonnier Sportsmen’s Lounge, Level 3, San Polo Room 3501. All women attending SHOT Show 2016 are invited to attend. No RSVPs required.
