National Deer Alliance Welcomes Two New Members to Its Board of Directors

To further serve as the guardian for wild deer conservation, the National Deer Alliance recently approved Whit Fosburgh of Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership and Dr. Kysten Schuler from Cornell University to its Board of Directors.

“I’m thrilled to join the NDA Board of Directors, especially at such a critical time for deer hunters in America,” says Whit Fosburgh, president and CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. “If we hope to preserve our traditions and improve our natural resources for the next generation of sportsmen and women to enjoy, a key factor will be how well we educate hunters about the spread of chronic wasting disease, our role in controlling the epidemic, and what changes are urgently necessary. NDA is uniquely poised to play an outsize role in this process, and I look forward to supporting the organization in its efforts.”

“As a scientist and a hunter, I am honored to be joining the National Deer Alliance Board of Directors. I am passionate about wild deer conservation and look forward to contributing to the NDA mission in an official capacity” said Krysten Schuler, wildlife disease ecologist at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

“TRCP and Cornell University have been exceptional partners for NDA, and inviting Whit and Krysten to join our board of directors will only serve to deepen their involvement,” said Nick Pinizzotto, NDA President and CEO. “It takes great partners to accomplish our mission, and we are automatically stronger with them on our team.”
