Becoming an Outdoors-Woman turns 20

On Aug. 26, the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program celebrates its 20th anniversary in a place where it began — Treehaven Field Station, set in the northwoods of Wisconsin. The program, which began in 1991, is now offered in 38 states and five Canadian provinces. To date, the program has attracted about half a million participants. The National Shooting Sports Foundation has played an important supporting role throughout the years in BOW’s success, along with other organizations and the outdoor industry. Read more about BOW at the NSSF’s website.
