Kentucky Angler, Debbie Chadwick Warner miraculously moved from 14th place to win the event with a final day 5 fish limit totaling an amazing 23.75 lbs. The winning bag also contained the Big Bass of the three day event that scaled out at 6.64 lbs. A Texas size bass caught just in time to take Warner from the bottom of the field to the top spot, winning the championship.  Debbie had this to say about her amazing victory, “This year has had its big ups and downs. From the lightning strike to one knee surgery and waiting on another. Who would have thought that you could go from 14th place out of 15 to winning? Just goes to show you, the last cast, the last breath, in fishing or in life you should live every moment knowing it can make a difference.”

Bainbridge, Georgia Pro Pam Martin-Wells, who was holding first place on Day 2, moved into 2nd place with an impressive three day total of 20.32 lbs. Finishing up in 3rd place was Pattie Campbell of Waxahachie, Texas who finished up with 20.25 lbs on day 3.

The co-anglers also performed well in the diverse conditions. Clayton, Indiana’s Kim Martin finished in 1st place from the back of the boat with 16.46 lbs. after battling it out for three days with Bonnie Ward of Snohomish, Washington who finished the event in 2nd place with a total of 16.36 lbs. The 3rd position was rounded out by angler Denise Sustaita, another Texas girl from Etoile, Texas, who weigh in with a total of 12.05 lbs.

The ladies were met with cheers and enthusiasm from the crowd at Bass Pro Shops who had turned out on to watch the LBAA weigh in. The anglers at the microphone echoed one another as they invited ladies to join them on the tournament trail for 2014. The friendship between the ladies along with the support of one another is what sets this tour apart from all others. Even in extreme competition there is a bond among this group that is unique which makes these events so much fun for the friends and families of the lady bass anglers.
