Remington Outdoor Company announces marketing alliance/sponsorship with Gabriela Franco

Madison, NC – Remington Outdoor Company is pleased to announce today that it has entered into a marketing alliance and sponsorship with firearm instructor, NRA Commentator and active United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) competitor Gabriela Franco. Franco and Remington will be working together to host firearms training events, grow participation in shooting competitions and promote opportunities for women in the firearms market.

“Gabby is one of the best female firearm instructors in the country and has a passion to train women to become skilled, confident and empowered with handguns,” said Leland Nichols Senior Vice President / General Manager of handguns for Remington Outdoor Company. “Her competitiveness and determination to be the best, whether it be teaching others or as a professional competition shooter, directly compliments our mission to deliver the absolute best firearms on the market today. We are truly excited to have her join the Remington Outdoor Company to support our marketing initiatives.”

The marketing alliance will initially include a series of training classes hosted by Franco and co-sponsored by Remington to be held throughout the country. In addition, Franco will join fellow competition shooter and USPSA National Champion Travis Tomasie on Team Para for the remainder of the 2014 season and beyond. Starting in 2015, Franco will also compete in 3-Gun competitions with Team Bushmaster. Franco will compete with a full compliment of Remington Outdoor Company firearms including Para’s Pro Custom 16.40 1911 pistol, Remington’s VersaMax 3-Gun auto-loading shotgun, Bushmaster’s 3-Gun tactical rifle and Remington ammunition.

About Gabriela Franco

Gabriela Franco is well known worldwide for being a contestant on the Top Shot TV show, Season Four and Top Shot All-Stars. She has been involved in competition shooting for more than 20 years. Gabby participated on the XXVII Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia in 2000. She has won several gold and additional medals in many international competitions. Today, Gabby gives shooting classes around the country to civilians and police agencies. In 2013 Gabby published her first book: TroubleShooting: Mastering Your Pistol Marksmanship, and recently published the Spanish version of TroubleShooting.
