Outdoor Channel’s Eva Shockey, who co-hosts alongside her legendary father in Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures on the network, stars in a new reality television show launching on Monday, November 18 at 8 p.m. ET – My Outdoor Family. The six-episode series provides a behind-the-scenes look into Eva’s life as a wife, mother, outdoor lifestyle influencer, author, TV host, entrepreneur and brand ambassador.
Since the moment she entered the outdoor industry, Eva has always promoted a simple, yet powerful message of living the outdoor lifestyle to its fullest. But viewers soon come to realize what one hopes to promote, and the reality of everyday life, sometimes don’t always jibe. Therein lies the charm of My Outdoor Life.
Watch as Eva and her husband, Tim Brent, a former National Hockey League (NHL) player who has embarked on a new career in commercial real estate, navigate demanding professions and family life as parents to two-year-old daughter, Leni Bow, and newborn son, Boone – all while planting roots in a new home and carving out time to embrace the outdoors.
“I used to travel on extreme open-air outdoor adventures 250 days out of the year,” Eva Shockey said. “Life looks a bit different now. Together with Tim, I’m learning to manage my many commitments and discovering tricks for experiencing the outdoors within the framework of a busy life and young children in tow. It’s been my career mission to inspire my peers to unplug and responsibly explore green spaces near and far – and My Outdoor Family showcases how we do just that, despite the realities of chaotic schedules and constant demands.”
“My Outdoor Family is an interesting look at one of outdoor lifestyle’s most recognizable faces, Eva Shockey,” Outdoor Sportsman Group Vice President of Program Planning and Scheduling,
Katie Gladstone said. “If viewers thought they knew Eva from television and social media, they’re in for an awakening that will surely surprise.”
Life may get hectic, but the young family powers through. They try not to let conflicting obligations dictate their course of action and share key moments that will frame the rest of their lives. Above all, they purposefully set aside family time to nurture their relationship with “Mother Nature” and extol the virtues of living a dynamic, healthy outdoor lifestyle.
