The A Girl & A Gun Women’s Clays Championship will take place on August 14-15, 2020, at Powder Creek Shooting Park in Lenexa, KS.

“For the past two years, we have been asked to do for shotgun sports what we have done for action shooting sports,” says Julianna Crowder, Founder of AG & AG. “We are excited about growing the shotgun community and bringing women together from across the country for a fun event.”

The Women’s Clays Championship is a 2-day event comprising sporting clays, 5-stand, and trap, as well as a fun flurry game and warm-up practice. Competitors can opt into a Lewis Class payout for two different sporting clays courses. There will be prizes awarded for the top competitors in each sport, as well as other prizes given by random draw. For those new to the shotgun sports or looking to advance their skillsets, CZ-USA pro staff will be offering clinics prior to the competition.

CZ-USA is the Title Sponsor of the A Girl & A Gun Women’s Clays Championship.

“We’re proud to be the Title Sponsor of A Girl & A Gun’s Women’s Clays Championship,” says CZ-USA Shotgun Product Manager Dave Miller. “One of my favorite things about AG & AG is the organization’s focus on education. Unlike so many misguided programs, AG & AG provides opportunities for its members to learn and grow in the shooting sports. This clay target shoot is going to be a truly unique experience for all of the participants.”

The shoot is expected to draw more than 100 competitors. Crowder says that AG & AG is responding to the demand for female-only opportunities where competitors can advance their skills. “In addition to the education and event experience, we will also have camaraderie to strengthen the sisterhood of women shooters, motivate them, and continue to build a strong female presence in the world of shotgun sports,” said Crowder.
