Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Dooley is currently a law enforcement special agent in middle Tennessee. With 13 years’ experience as a Probation Officer and Patrol Officer, she also has been a six-year firearms instructor at her current agency, specializing in handgun and carbine techniques and training. Passionate about empowering men and women to gain and hone the skills needed to protect themselves and their families, Dooley first attended Gunsite in October of 2018 as a scholarship recipient of the Jeff Cooper Legacy Foundation.

Becoming a recognized Gunsite Academy instructor is no easy task. Requiring hundreds of hours of training and attending numerous classes at Gunsite Academy, the candidate must then be recommended by a certified Gunsite Range Master. Once recommended, the candidate goes through intensive training, working with numerous Gunsite Rangemasters and Gunsite Coaches who ensure that the Gunsite standards of doctrine, presentation, and technique are met.
