Gabby addresses the success of Don’t Lie for the Other Guy, a campaign designed to address illegal straw purchasers. The NSSF has additionally crafted Operation Secure Store (OSS) to offset the risks associated with being an FFL and a firearms business owner. Education, planning and results-based risk management constitute a fidelity that has attracted the partnership of the ATF. Together, the NSSF and the ATF collaborate to secure, prosecute and inform.
Gabby’s allusion to Project ChildSafe and mission to protect what is most treasured – children – focuses on the sanctity of life. The Suicide Prevention program is an extension of this mission and works to discourage suicidality, as well as unsecured firearms (often used as final arbiters). Being hand-in-hand with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the NSSF continues to provide education and skills for resilience in the battle against mental illness.
