A Pairing of Concealed Carry Options and 2026 Fall Fashions

When I searched for 2026 fall fashions, I found some of the most outrageous runway outfits, all with sky-high price tags. Since those don’t fit my lifestyle or my budget, I turned to my favorite stores, TJ Maxx and Macy’s, and did some online shopping instead. (Truth be told, I also wanted to avoid being bombarded with the overwhelming scent of pumpkin spice in a brick-and-mortar store.) There I found some really cute styles I can see myself wearing. So, just like pairing wine and cheese, here are my suggestions for matching concealed-carry options with 2026 fall fashions.

2026 Fall Fashions

As I mentioned, I find the runway fashions a little (well, a lot) ridiculous. So, I refined my 2026 fall fashion search to include “Midwestern states.” Which, as always, includes layering since we always have to be ready for a temperature drop from day to day, or hour to hour.

I chose to pair my clothing with Crossbreed holsters since those are what I have on hand and am knowledgeable about. I think you’ll get the gist, and perhaps recognize a similar item in the brands you prefer. Although I highly recommend checking out CrossBreed if you need to purchase new holsters.

Pants

wide leg pants

From what I found, pleated, wide-leg slacks with a high-rise waist are the staple. Since these usually don’t have belt loops, an ankle holster is a great choice. Also, depending on the style of shirt you wear, a belly band may also work well.

Since jeans have belt loops, an inside-the-waistband (IWB) holster is a good choice, like the Xecutive Holster by N8 Tactical. Again, depending on your top or if you add additional layers, even an outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster may work. I really like CrossBreed’s MultiFlex IWB/OWB Holster. It allows me, with a little time, to switch between the two. Plus, it fits over 275 handguns.

Athleisure is still in fashion. The wide-leg track pants featuring classic side stripes can be worn at the gym and wherever else your day takes you. With the elastic waist, a belly band is a great option. The CrossBreed Modular Belly Band offers stability for your firearm and extra magazines, along with other options that I cover later in this article.

Tops

Apparently, Rugby shirts are now back in style. I remember wearing these in the ’80s and late ’90s. As they say, “What goes around comes around.” These baggy, oversized shirts offer numerous holster pairing options. Depending on your choice of pants, you can use either an IWB, OWB or a belly band.

Ribbed knits, whether long- or short-sleeve, can make concealed carry tricky because they fit so tightly. If you’re not wearing a layer, you might want to carry off-body. If you don’t have a purse made for concealed carry, but have one with a separate compartment – you don’t want to mix loose items with your firearm – check out CrossBreed’s Purse Defender Assembly. It works with the Modular Holster and fits inside your favorite handbag. Hmmm … I wonder if I need a new purse for fall?

Speaking of layering, a fine-knit cardigan, structured blazers or a denim jacket are all “on-trend” layers to add over a tight, smooth shirt. These all offer the opportunity to carry concealed any way you want.

Dresses

sweater dress

If you want to dress up a bit, sweater dresses, slip dresses, drop-waists and dark midi or maxi dresses are all part of the 2026 fall styles. For these outfits, off-body carry might be your best option.

Final Thoughts

As with all concealed carry options, take the time to train with your firearm and your chosen method of concealment, both with dry and live fire. If you can safely and confidently use a few different methods, your fashion options will increase significantly. Also, always try on your new outfits with your firearm in front of a mirror or with someone else to ensure a proper pairing that avoids printing.
