This easy venison sausage dip is a great party appetizer using ground venison. Just a few easy ingredients and bakes in less than 30 minutes!

We love easy appetizers made with ground venison, like our venison stuffed jalapeño peppers or our ground venison lasagna dip. This venison sausage dip is super easy to make, full of flavor, and great for football game days or a summer potluck

Ingredients to Make Venison Sausage Dip

venison-sausage-dip
  • 1 lb. ground venison sausage – mild or hot
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 12 oz. cream cheese – softened
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. dijon mustard

How to Make Venison Sausage Dip

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the ground venison sausage and cook through. You’ll want to break up the sausage into very fine pieces as it cooks.
  3. While the venison sausage is cooking, add the remaining ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Add the cooked venison sausage and stir to combine.
  4. Transfer to a 9×9 baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes or until softened and bubbly. If the cheese on top is browning too quickly, you can cover it with foil.
  5. Remove and serve hot with tortilla chips or crackers.
