A burst of sunlight through a turkey target for photographer Bill Konway to capture

Bill Konway’s work smacks of cutting edge, a little off-beat at times and downright brilliant — in that he looks at things in unusual ways and then, captures those angles and ideas with his camera. Take, for example, this photograph of a Hunter’s Specialties turkey target. Says Bill, “It was shot with a Nikon macro lens, 105mm, 2.8. Both the target and camera were hand held, by me. Pretty tricky when you have my lack of coordination. By turning the preshot target to the sun and adjusting the angle, I was able to get the sun to look as though its bursting through one of the pellet holes.”

Bill’s work i absolutely outstanding and is very inspirational to me – so much so in fact I expect a clubbing from him someday for my half hearted attempts to emulate his style ( Remember Bill – imitation is the highest form of flattery 😉 )
right now I’m just crushed that I won’t be able to attend any of his upcoming workshops.
Keep up the great and inspiring work Bill – it spurs me on to work harder at my craft!
