Sgt. Sherri Jo Gallagher, Olympic hopeful, Army 'Soldier of the Year'

Sgt. Sherri Gallagher of Prescott, Ariz., has been named the U.S. Army’s Soldier of the Year. Gallagher current serves as an  88M motor transportation operator and also, an instructor and shooter with the Army’s service rifle section. She recently won the Army’s Best Warrior Competition. That competition, better known as the  “The Super Bowl of Army competitions” pits 24 of the Army’s finest warriors against each other.  Read about Gallagher and her accomplishments here at The Daily Courier.

    Kudos to Sherri! I met her many years ago when I was first learning to shoot and she was already a many time national rifle champion. Great to see that she is using her awesome talent to be “all she can be” with the Army!
