Rolla, MO — Oct. 26, 2012 — (Women’s Outdoor News) — Each year, Próis Hunting & Field Apparel for Women spends a significant amount of time and consideration when it comes to choosing staff members. With so many amazing women out there in the hunting and shooting industry, Próis is especially proud to announce the following staff selections for 2012.
Pro staff adds two movers and shakers
New to pro-staff this year is Hon. Julie A Mogenis. Julie is a retired judge and the host of award winning and internationally broadcast outdoor television series “Huntin’ with the Judge.” Julie holds the “Trophy Game Record of The World, Huntress of the Year 2010.” She also holds more than 12 world records for various species taken by rifle, muzzleloader, pistol and archery. She is an incredible hunter and a great lady. She hunts everything from varmints, trophy whitetail, monster elk, red stag, chamois, bears, plenty of dangerous game, the Big 5 and many species of Plains game.
Also new to pro-staff this year is Jennifer L.S. Pearsall. Jennifer has been professionally involved in the shooting and hunting industry for more than 20 years. She began her career working in a combination retail gun store and indoor handgun shooting range in Northern Virginia. During her years there, she picked up shooting IPSC, skeet, trap and sporting clays. She also began deer hunting and acquired the first of her bird dogs. None of this went unnoticed by the “big boys” down the street, the NRA, who recruited her for its editorial staff, first on the children’s magazine “InSights” and the competitive shooting journal, before moving to the staff of “American Hunter.” During her time with the NRA, Jennifer traveled the U.S., Canada and Mexico hunting big game, upland birds, and waterfowl, while she devoted her hobby shooting hours to competitive sporting clays. A move to Kansas prompted a career transition to freelancing, with bylines appearing in dozens of journals such as “Gun Tests,” “Gun Dog,” “Petersen’s Hunting,” “Wildfowl,” “Whitetail Journal” and many others, before landing in her current role as an acquisitions and lead technical editor for the highly regarded “Gun Digest” book brand.
Adds depth to field staff
Próis is very proud to announce the addition of new field staffers Britney Starr, Jacquie Shore, Angie Denny, Crystal Michelle Ivy, Candy Bowerman and sisters Meghan and Bailey Simpson.

Owner of Starr & Bodill African Safaris, Britney Starr is a native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. When she is not helping her clients achieve their dreams of hunting in Africa, she enjoys writing about her hunting and shooting experiences. Britney is currently the associate editor at “Women’s Outdoor News” where she also pens the blog “ShootingStarr.”
Jacquie Shore is a professional hunter who has been featured, along with her husband, on several television shows. They are now the hosts of the new series “The Hitmen” on Wild TV in Canada. Jacquie is the proud mother of four and has a background and degree in Biology. She worked for many years for the Ministry of Natural Resources in Ontario doing wildlife and flora research.
Angie Denny and husband, Scott, have owned their outfitting business Table Mountain Outfitters for 16 years and have their own TV show, “THE LIFE at Table Mountain.” The show tells the story of America’s most successful outfitter, Table Mountain Outfitters. Table Mountain Outfitters guide more than 200 hunters to big game success each year.
Crystal Ivy was born in Carrizo Springs, Texas, and owned her first .22 at the age of two. She has harvested dozens of species all over the world. Crystal is the ranch and wildlife manager for The Back Porch Ranch located in Texas Hill Country. She is mother of two amazing kids. Her upcoming hunts include a 2012 Yukon moose, stone sheep, pronghorn, mule deer, whitetail and a return to Tanzania on a 30-day safari in 2013.
Candy Bowerman Yow is the cohost of “Extreme Desire TV.” She is an avid horse woman and trainer. She grew up on large ranches and earned a respect for the outdoors and wildlife at an early age. A mother of two daughters and two step-daughters and now a grandma to five children, Candy is very passionate about involving families in the hunting industry. Candy also has written several articles for outdoor publications.
Sisters Meaghan and Bailey Simpson grew up with a family of hunting fools. From the time that Meaghan was just nine-years old when she started skinning Dall sheep and was begging to take out a hunter of her own. Bailey and Meghan’s parents, Stan and Debbie Simpson, own Ram Head Outfitters, an outfitting company in the Northwest Territories. Their family heritage is rife with avid hunters and outfitters. Meaghan also is a licensed helicopter pilot and Bailey was the first and youngest women to take an archery Dall sheep.

Barb ought to do a piece for one of the print magazines. Most of the world has little idea that there are so many passionate, dedicated women who are serious hunters.
