I will be trying to fill my freezer. I have 9 grandbabies that love to eat wild game in which I harvest, butcher and cook. In Dec my husband and myself both harvested bucks here in Kansas. I have an 11 year old I’ve taught to hunt when he was just 4 and his suggest has proven he is a natural. January brings our family many hunting adventures. First we will try to harvest a few does for the freezer. When the butchering is completed we will then set up for some duck and Canada goose hunts. all the while keeping our eyes open to fill our fall turkey tags and any coyotes ‘along the way. I hope that January moves slowly and allows my family many hunting memories. I truly love seeing other women more involved in hunting. I’ve been hunting and fishing ,and gardening since I settled here in Kansas 18 years ago. It is what has kept me here and has given me health and love for the great out doors.
