Women’s Outdoor News and Avery Skipalis bring you an article where the ladies of Team GLOCK introduce some of their new products while highlighting key features.

Let’s be honest. No SHOT Show is complete without stopping by the GLOCK booth to check out our friends at GLOCK and hear about their new releases. While there, of course, I had to pick up some of their great swag! Who doesn’t love a new patch, pen, water bottle, ear protection, eye protection or notebook? Or is it just me?
This year, I noticed a couple of new smiling faces in GLOCK gear that I’d never seen during previous visits. I’ve been in the presence of Team GLOCK during Industry Day at the Range and while on the show floor at previous SHOT Shows. I was also fortunate enough to be included in the most recent media trip, called “Behind the Barrel,” put on by GLOCK in Smyrna, Georgia.
This year, I had the honor of meeting Team GLOCK’s two newest members: Thy Ngo and Callerina “Cally” Woodard. I learned a few things about them during this time, including their backgrounds. Thy, known for her mastery of shooting techniques, and Cally, an exceptional competitor in the shooting sports arena, proved to hold a wealth of knowledge regarding shooting performance.
Once we were warmed up to each other, we laughed about how nervous we were to be on camera. From there, Thy introduced the G29 Gen5 in 10mm, and Cally introduced the G30 Gen5 in .45 Auto.

SHOT Show is always a great time to get a behind-the-scenes perspective directly from brands. This year, it was even better because I met Callerina and Thy, the newest members of Team GLOCK. Avery Skipalis is the owner of Skip’s Tactical Solutions, an organization that focuses on empowering women, men and children to make sure that no one else becomes a victim. She gained her firearms experience from the military where she’s been a military firearms instructor for 10.5 years. She’s also a certified NRA rifle and pistol instructor and Glock Advanced Armorer since 2015. She’s attended Sig Sauer Academy, FNH, Special Operations Command Armorers courses as well as multiple Advanced Shooting Schools across the United States. She resides in Florida with her husband and 2 kids. She’s currently serving in the United States Air Force and loves sharing her passion with others.
