At my house, we are big Avengers and Marvel fans. Prepared for any situation, the superheroes in these movies have on hand what they need to save anyone in distress. If you think about it, good mothers are superheroes. My boys used to be amazed at how I could pull anything out of my bag that they needed at any given time. Sure, the items in my purse changed as they grew up. Carrying a firearm added another dimension to being prepared for any situation. What is a Superhero?
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a superhero as “a fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers and an exceptionally courageous, skillful, or successful person.”
We often hear about heroes only if they’re in a life-or-death situations and something terrible has already happened. Think about how many times you’ve watched the news and seen someone stop a potential villain. Do you even know of school staff that stopped a potential school shooter? No, because they haven’t done the shooting yet. These stories don’t make the news.
Tips for Being a Superhero
A superhero never knows what scene she will encounter. She is prepared to come to the rescue in any situation. Just like Batman, she always has the tools handy that she may need.
