Just like her husband, Carlos, Vera’s daughter, Shane, has also contributed to her column. In this post, I share three articles Shane wrote that highlight some of her amazing adventures.
A self-proclaimed, salty old lady, Shane shares some of the changes she found in the sport of climbing when she returns to it after more than a 25-year hiatus.
“I don’t love all the changes, but I know without a doubt, the sport of climbing is improving in more ways than one.”
In “Climbing in the 22nd Century” Shane shares how much climbing has advanced over the past 20 years after she joins a group of about 20 strangers on a climbing trip.
When Shane’s daughter, Mia, shows interest in rock climbing, she jumps at the chance to introduce her to the sport.
