Babbs in the Woods: The BlackHawk! bus

Recently, BlackHawk! treated some outdoor bloggers and me to a trip that included visiting its headquarters in Norfolk, Va., and also a ride on the corporate bus. You know, the one you’ve seen on the Bristol racetrack, or in front of the U.S. Capitol, or at the SHOT show in Vegas or Orlando. I even met the bus driver, Tony Mitchell, the father of teen triplets.

So, I’m wondering … will ATK keep the bus? It just bought BlackHawk! and well, with the economy and all …  I’m wondering, how much would it cost to buy it and wrap it with Women’s Outdoor News on it? Imagine the cast-and-blast trips my friends and I could make on that thing. And maybe we could hire Tony as the bus driver and his lovely wife could come, too — in case they want to get away from the teen triplets once in a while?

In the meantime, and until it comes up for sale, here’s a little Flip video that I did with the help of Laura Burgess, of Laura Burgess Marketing, and Tony Mitchell.

Get the bus, though I realize having it donated would better, but think of the cool road trips out to see your twin grandbabies come this fall! And I love the idea of doing our own WON tour!
