I’ve been carrying a firearm in a purse for years. I’ve purchased concealed-carry bags from many companies, and I bought this one before we even secured our recent contract with Lady Conceal. I saw the bags at SHOT Show last year, and really liked this model. Hands down, the Delaney Leather Crossbody by Lady Conceal is my favorite and most comfortable carry purse, and here’s why.
It just works for me, especially with these specs:
The bag boasts two main compartments, separated by a zip divider. I put my “Mom bag,” with all the things (think lip gloss, eye drops, meds, Band-Aids, wipes, sanitizer and more) in it (think airport clear-bag size) and my wallet inside here. In the middle, I store Tic Tacs and tissues.
I don’t think twice about carrying a gun – unless, of course, I’m going to a school or post office, or other gun-free zone. Most of the time, I’m packing. In the early days, I would actually try to decide what the odds were of needing a firearm for personal defense. Now, I just train and carry, train and carry.
This bag makes it easy to pack a pistol. It’s not bulging, even with all the stuff I’ve included in my “Mom bag.” It stands on its own, and doesn’t tip over because the design of the holster and consequent weight of the gun influences the balance. I think this is my favorite feature. It will hold my stuff neatly and it looks like the bag lost some weight in the process.
It doesn’t look like a carry bag. It doesn’t shout, “I have a gun!”
I’ve worn it for almost six months now, and it still looks new – but not too new. Remember, it came distressed. It’s easy to maneuver, especially if I want to pick up and hold a wiggly toddler grandchild on my hip while out and about.
The price of $164.95 is extremely reasonable for this quality of leather, interior fabric and hardware.
When the time came to cast aside my Kate Spade wallet (Yes, I heard she was anti-gun, but I bought this wallet about 20 years ago when I didn’t know any better.), I took a look at what Lady Conceal had to offer, and lo and behold, I found a matching wallet!
The Hope RFID Leather Laced Wallet fits adeptly into this bag, and works perfectly, too. Like the bag’s main feature that I adore, it, too, packs a lot into its space. It’s like Spanx … There’s a lot in there, but you wouldn’t know it!

I have been using this wallet for almost as long as the bag. I bought it in Cognac and it nearly matches the color of the purse, but other choices include black, caramel, gray and dark mahogany. To finish the design, Lady Conceal added leather lacing around the flap, which is a lovely touch.
I’m happy to pull this little number out of this bag, and it easily slips right back in after a transaction.
The cost of this wallet is only $64.95 and I think it’s worth every penny, and in fact, it would make the perfect gift for someone who needs a new wallet.
